By the Hair of My Chinny Chin Chin & Torque My Melon! - or is that two "l's"?

This evening I went to Floral Lane for a hike. I hiked out to the beach and spent several minutes there but decided to head back as a rather large wall of dark clouds was getting too close. It was a close shave.

The storm clouds - they almost caught me!

Monday I went out to the beach as well and didn't think to take my camera and as a result missed a spectacular sunset. I missed some amazing views this evening as well, which torqued my melon as that made two amazing sunsets in as many days that I have lacked a camera. This evening's sunset made me wonder what the glory of Christ's second coming will be like. I managed to get back and get my camera to snap a couple pictures of what was left of the sunset.

I finished the book "Confrontation" by EGW Sunday and want to include some quotes.

"Oh, wonderful condescension! The Majesty of heaven, through love and pity for fallen man, proposed to become his substitute and surety. He would bear man's guilt. He would take the wrath of His Father upon Himself, which otherwise would have fallen upon man because of his disobedience." -Pg. 17

"In order to elevate fallen man, Christ must reach him where he was. He took human nature, and bore the infirmities and degeneracy of the race. He who knew no sin became sin for us. He humiliated Himself to the lowest depths of human woe, that He might be qualified to reach man and bring him up from the degradation in which sin had plunged him." -Pg. 33

"It was the purpose of God to test and prove the race, and give them an opportunity to develop character by bringing them frequently into trying positions to test their faith and confidence in His love and power. The life of Christ was a perfect pattern." -Pg. 44

"The cost of the redemption of the race can never be fully realized until the redeemed shall stand with the Redeemer, by the throne of God. And as they have capacity to appreciate the value of immortal life, and the eternal reward, they will swell the song of victory and immortal triumph, "Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature," says John, "which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing , and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."" -Pg. 55, 56
