The Weekend

This weekend I am house sitting for my parents. Tis where I grew up.

This is the house, the former dog house that is. Looking NW from the patio.

Looking NW from the south end of the house. This is the back yard.

Looking west from the family room.

West side of the house.

South side.

Southern View. Garden on the left and right.

East side.

Eastern View.

North side from the Bee Trail.

Northern view. The Bee Trail is just below and right of the hummingbird feeder.

This bell my parents originally got as a way to call my brother and I back to the house from the woods rather than yelling. We didn't respond to the bell, but the dogs did.

I wandered around the yard and took some pictures of the flowers. I think the pictures speak for themselves. What will the new earth be like?

Lavender

The sun is shining through this lilly. The difference between the lilly without verses with the sun is amazing. Christ wants to shine through each of us.

The flower of a Yucca Lilly.

These roses are climbing roses. My mom got the original plant from her grandmother quite a few years ago, I think close to thirty. The original is still around and my brother took clippings and started two other very robust plantings. I am going to try it at my place.

What is left of a Rootbeer Iris. They are brown & cream and actually quite pretty.
