Wow, A Praise.
It really didn't hit (no humor intended) till tonight that during the past week, I have had a number of close calls while driving. I don't think I've had this many so close together before. I've almost been hit by another car twice within the past week and then tonight happend for which I am thankful for God's protection. It was a dark and stormy night tonight. Rain, headlights-not the easiest to see things against the blacktop at times if the reflections and headlights. Well, as I was accellerating from a stoplight here in town I thankfully noticed something pink. Lo-and-behold there probably no more than two car lengths, in front of me was a little old lady crossing the street at a very slow pace. She was hard to see, probably another second and my brakes would not have stopped me in time. As I slammed on the brakes (she didn't seem to notice) thoughts of a body flopping over my hood popped into my mind...very bad timing, I have to get home and work on Torts! Thankfully I stopped in time and she made it across the road. I'm very thankful that all that happened was my heart skipping a beat and my computer flying down to the floor. I am also very thankful that the other times didn't result in anything either.

wow! glad that both you and her were spared from that one! That could have been really bad.
Yeah...Mr. Law School hits poor, old lady. What was she doing crossing the road when it was dark & stormy for crying out loud!?!? She should be at home, in her recliner. Well, praise God for His mercies & protection. Slow down Paeter!! Torts or no torts. What in the world is a tort by the way? Like a tart? Hee hee
Slow down?! I wasn't going that fast, though the my foot was certainly on the gas. Regardless, I'm very thankful that things were OK...and she didn't even seem to know I was there!
